Bareilly: Farmer Tied To Tree With Barbed Wire & Burnt Alive

A villager was burnt alive in a village located in Bargavan in Shishgarh, Bareilly. His half-burnt body was found tied with barbed wire in a bombax ceiba (Semal tree) in the forest. Police have started investigating the incident.

According to the Amar Ujala report, the 40-year-old Dharampal, a resident of Bargavan village, used to cultivate farming. On Friday night around 11 o’clock, he suddenly left the house without telling anyone.

The victim’s family kept searching for him. Meanwhile, at around 2.30 pm on Saturday, Dharmapala’s body was found tied to a semal tree in the forest half a kilometre away from the village, recovered in a burnt state. He was tied with barbed wire and burnt.

On getting the information, the police station in-charge Yogesh Kumar reached the spot. Shortly thereafter, SP Dehat Rajkumar Aggarwal and CO Bahedi Yatendra Kumar also reached there.

Let us tell you that the family members of Dharampal have accused a person in the neighbourhood of murder over a dispute about 20 years old.

SP Dehat informed that action will be taken after receiving the post-mortem report on the basis of FIR.
