Today, on 17 September, several opposition parties, including the Congress, are collectively celebrating Unemployment Day on social media.
On this occasion, former President Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and questioned that for how long will the government back out of giving employment?
“Massive unemployment has forced the youth to call today #NationalUnemploymentDay. Employment is dignity. For how long will the Govt deny this to people,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
With his tweet, Gandhi also tagged a media report which claimed that over one crore people in the country had registered on a government portal seeking jobs while jobs are less than 2 lakh.
